Well, slap me with a kipper and call me Susan.
Isn’t that Instant Space just the greatest geeky thing in the history of great geekiness?

Huge kudos to Mr Leger (and Maxon) for allowing this futuristic blast from the past to resurface.
Such fun playing with it already, it’s Babylon-5-tastic 😀

Thanks for the heads up on this – there goes my weekend!

I downloaded the Porsche file, and it said it was created with a missing plugin called Dirt. I’m new to C4D, any insight into this plugin? I googled, but the name was a general enough result that I didn’t find much helpful.

Tim, I’ve had that missing plugin on some projects too, I think it’s an old texturing plugin that isn’t made for more recent releases of C4D. Anyway, I would just ignore it or delete the texture that uses it. Shouldn’t be too big of a problem without it…

Thank you for the reply. I was more interested in if it was something worth looking into, but I guess a procedural dirt texture is probably easy enough to apply to stuff.

      Thank you!

Just thought I’d chime in, since I knew the answer to this. The Dirt plugin (not from Maxon) is from C4D 8 and has been since replaced with Ambient Occlusion (built within C4D). Though in my experience Dirt did better at making things dirty rather than having your samples low with AO.
