A very similar model and technique was used for a Cineversity video called “Modeling with Deformers and Effectors.” Great work on the piece!

Amazing free model! Thank you so much.

Can I just ask how you test render to see the look of your materials? – do you tweak AO / GI settings and then crank them up for final render, do you render a specific area of the image or even the whole image?

I only ask as I’m trying to speed up my workflow and find testing the look of something to be a little slow

Philip: I usually do a combination of things: using a solo plugin to isolate areas, doing the render region to work on a specific section etc. Also I turn down the anti-aliasing and no GI/AO while test rendering. I crank those up for final renders. Hope that helps!
