The new Cinema 4D Fabric Brush is here, and it is super fun for cloth workflows! In this tutorial, I’ll show you how this tool works and how you can use it to create incredibly realistic folds, wrinkles, and art-direct cloth in seconds. No more cloth tags, dynamics, and annoying simulations just to place your cloth.
The Basics: Getting started with the Fabric Brush interface.
Modes: A quick overview of the modes: Drag, Brush, Rotate, Swirl, Contract/Expand, Wrinkle, Detangle, Smoothing.
Key Settings: Using “G” for Gravity in order to lay cloth on surfaces. A great workflow if you want to put a tablecloth on an object etc.
Colliders: How to set up collision objects so you can easily wrap cloth around an object without intersecting it. Perfect for product renders!
